More readable than Faulkner and goes by Gardiners sign list. Only a few words Ive needed have not been in this dictionary. Totally worth every penny.

This app doesnt solve all the problems of reading Egyptian, but it is invaluable in solving what for me is the hardest part - vocabulary.

Im an Egyptology student so I use this app all the time, but its great for anyone who likes Egyptian. Its incredibly convenient and easy to use. Plus it has a huge number of words so youll probably find what youre looking for.

This is a terrific resource, and a reminder of how technology can actually be useful rather that just so much noise and distraction. The interface is intuitive and simple to use, and makes very good use if the iPhone SDKs strengths. What is particularly handy is the fact that a translation problem can be approached from different angles (glyphs, transliteration, or English). If I had one feature request to make, it would be the addition of a results filter function which would allow the user to remove hits from queries with a large number of results. Whether you are a student or simply a hobbyist such as myself, this purchase is well worth your investment. Bien fait, monsieur!

Pro: very accurate and learned a lot. Thousands of translations. Con: no relevance filter when searching words. Overall: one of the best apps I have, and I believe it is worth buying if you are serious about ancient Egypt!
